1. Players 70 and older can play the forward/red tees.
2. Substitutions: This year if you're using a substitute, they MUST have
either a GHIN handicap, or have a league handicap in our system within
the last three years. The last three years of subs are listed on the
website. This will allow us to know the outcome of matches on the day
played.
If your sub does not have one of these two handicaps, they will play off
scratch (no strokes) for the first match, then they will have a league
handicap established for any ensuing weeks.
If you're using a GHIN handicap, you'll have to calculate the player's
front nine handicap using the USGA Course Handicap Calculator. Simply
put in 1/2th the players index and the playing information for the
tees that will be played.
White: 34.4/116 Par 36
Blue: 35.5/122 Par 36
Red: 32.5/103 Par 36
Example. For a player with a 9.6 handicap playing the blue tees, you
would use 4.8 for the index, 35.5/122 for rating and slope and 36 for par.
Best solution is to use the Handicap Calculator at this site:
(google on: usga handicap calculator)
https://www.usga.org/course-handicap-calculator.html
If you want to do it the hard way, then run the numbers through this formula:
HCP = ((Index * Slope) / 113) + (Rating - Par)
Mark the scorecard where the strokes are allocated and
play the match as normal.
There should be plenty of people around to help with this if it is needed.
If you know earlier in the day/week who it is, you are welcome to text or
